    (St. George, UT) - Three engines from the Color Country Interagency Fire Management team continue to monitor the 304-acre Mustang Knoll wildfire ignited by lightning Sunday, August 8, 2010. The wildfire is currently burning in pinyon pine, juniper and sage vegetation south of Mustang Knoll located on BLM administered lands within the Grand Canyon-Parashant National Monument.

    The fire managers are currently managing the wildfire for multiple objectives to meet future desired conditions established in the Monument Resource Management Plan. Smoke may be visible near Black Rock Mountain from St. George, Utah area.
