“We have had great support from the community even since I arrived here,” said SUU head coach Becky Hogan. “This is a way that we feel like we can give back and recognize their involvement.”
The soccer clinic will be open to youth of all ages and all ability levels. Everyone is welcome to come out and play regardless of their soccer experience or skill level. Members of the soccer team will be managing stations set up around the field, which teach all the different aspects of the game. This will be a unique opportunity to receive instruction from the SUU coaches and interact with the Thunderbird players.
To participate you do not need to wear soccer specific attire or shoes, but we do recommend that the kids dress in athletic type clothing.
“The last time we offered a free clinic like this we had over a 100 people participate and it was a lot of fun,” commented Hogan. “This time we hope to double that number.”
So come on out and cheer for the T-Birds as they take on the Wolverines at 1 p.m. this Saturday and then stick around for this fun and exciting event!
