(Mesquite, NV) - Thomas "Doug" Marion Douglas, 76 passed away August 24, 2012, at his home in Mesquite, NV. He was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on January 31, 1936, to Orville Douglas and Ruby Chambers. He married Glenda Ann Houston on June 13, 1954 in Nevada, Missouri.

Thomas graduated from Miami, Oklahoma High School and then attended college at Oklahoma State College. He was a motorcycle dealer for 45 years and owner of Doug Douglas Motorcycles for 49 years. He was a professional motorcycle racer, a mechanic, and an AMA lifetime member. Thomas also had a one man motorcycle record from Tijuana to La Paz, Mexico.

He is survived by his wife, his children, Glenda Colleen Brown, Yucaipa, CA; Randal Duane (Doris) Douglas, Mesquite, NV; Elaine Ann Douglas, Mesquite,NV; grandchildren, Caitlin Brown and Kimberly Douglas; step-grandchildren, John Bryan and Joshua Bryan; step-great-grandchild Lily Bryan; and two sisters, Patricia Cone, Dallas, TX; Kay (Forrest) Walters, Fort Collins, CO.

Memorial services will be held Wednesday, August 29, 2012 at 11:30 am at the First Baptist Church, 700 Hardy Way, Mesquite, NV. Arrangements are under the direction of Virgin Valley Mortuary, 320 E. Old Mill Road, Mesquite, NV
