Eight families building their own homes in Ivins Cielo Vista Subdivision will finally get to cut a ribbon and begin to move into their new homes. The subdivision is located at 235 S. and 400 W.
Currently Color Country Community Housing Inc. (CCCHI) provides the mutual self help program that offers families zero money down, low monthly payment, five star energy appliances and energy certified homes.
“This group built in one of the most beautiful locations in Ivins and did a great job on making the homes look unique to the area,” said Dotti Higley the Special Projects Coordinator of CCCHI.
CCCHI was founded in 1998 to address the affordable housing needs in Southwestern Utah and provide a way for Low income families and households to obtain a home.
Courtney Wallace who is in the group and planning on moving in soon said; “Great program where I come from a self employed stand point and this made the dream come true. It is a lot of work but worth it.”
CCCHI will have a ribbon cutting event along with home tours on August 24th. The ribbon cutting will be at one o’clock and home tours will be from two to five PM.
