  • Fatal I-15 Motorcyle Crash Claims Life of Hurricane Man

    (St. George, UT) - The Utah Highway Patrol is investigating a motorcycle accident that claimed the life of Evert Dykhuizen, 62 of Hurricane, Utah. He was traveling northbound on I-15 in St. George near mile post 8 Thursday afternoon about 2:25 PM when his motorcycle went off the left shoulder of the freeway and crashed into the median cable barrier. He was transported to Dixie Regional Medical Center where he later died.

    Investigators said Dykhuizen was not wearing a helmet although one was found at the scene of the crash. No other vehicles were involved in the accident which remains under investigation.
