(Mesquite, NV) - Wesley McClain, 24 of Mesquite was arrested Thursday morning about 8:20 AM by Mesquite Police officers following several months of investigation, gathering evidence, talking with victims and witnesses in a string of burglaries that were committed throughout the City of Mesquite since the beginning of January 2012.
McClain was charged with 10 counts of burglary and four counts of attempted burglary after Mesquite detectives obtained and executed search warrants for his residence and vehicle.
McClain was taken to the Mesquite Detention Center for processing before being transported to the Clark County Detention Center in Las Vegas.
So I might ask, do any of you fine people, in this town, walk on water? I think not! I'll just wager that ,not 50%, of you people know this young man. Contrary to what popular precepts, prison can create a criminal out of an individual who makes an extremely bad decision...I happen to know this young man is a pretty darn good guy. Yes he erred in his decision making, yes he is lost right now...but were it your son, would you judge him so harshly? Think about it. Let the judge and God sort this out. His family is in pain for pete sake.
