The honors were announced Tuesday by the ABCA West Region chaiman Kenny Leonesio of Cal State Stanislaus.
Andrade, one of three players to share the Pacific West Conference Player of the Year award, appears on the ABCA/Rawlings first team at catcher. It is the second appearance on the list for the Yuma, Arizona, native after a second team honor in 2011.
Andrade completed the regular season by hitting .330 in 49 games and 48 starts for the Red Storm. He had 58 base hits, 28 runs scored, 15 doubles, 44 runs batted in, four homers, 16 walks and a .483 slugging rate. In the NCAA regional, he added a two-run home run against UC San Diego.
Yack, the junior from South Jordan, received a spot on the West Region Second Team. He hit .329 in 47 games and 46 starts, going 51 for 155 with 37 runs, eight doubles, two triples, a home run, 19 RBI, 24 walks, four stolen bases and a .429 on-base mark.
His .971 fielding average nabbed the Gold Glove as the best defensive second basemen in the West. In 210 chances, Yack committed six errors. He turned 28 double plays with fellow Gold Glove winner Ammon Zitting.
Zitting had seven errors in 171 attempts for a .959 fielding percentage. The senior from Pleasant Grove is the DSC Division II stat leader in games played, games started, at bats, walks, assists and double plays turned.
Andrade is eligible for NCAA DIVISION II All-American consideration, which will be selected on Sunday, May 27, 2012 in Cary, NC, in conjunction with the Division II National Championship Tournament. Yack and Zitting will be eligible for NCAA DIVISION II Rawlings All-American Gold Glove consideration.
