    (Ivins, UT) - UPDATED April 26th - The second annual Kayenta Street Painting Festival, a program of the Kayenta Arts Foundation, is scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, April 14 & 15th, 2012 from 10:00AM to 6:00PM in the streets of the Coyote Gulch Art Village, 851 Coyote Gulch Court in Ivins.

    Professional artists and students create a colorful chalk weekend explosion using the asphalt as a canvas and chalk as the medium. Large painted murals will unfold at the feet of thousands of spectators come Saturday morning.

    Visitors will be able to see the early sketches of works and watch the student competition. Sunday local professional artists will complete their masterpieces. Spectators are invited to select their favorite painting and be entered into raffle for a vacation package to Red Mountain Spa.

    The artistic event brings together the business community and professional artists with students in an what has proven to be an amazing collaborative activity.

    2nd place - John Lennon by Fossil Ridge

    3rd place - The Red Fish With Blue Dots by Sunrise Ridge

    Best Use of Color- The Mona Lisa by GWA

    Best Master Copy- The Girl With Yellow Hair by Vista

    Student Artists 9-12th Grade

    1st - The American Gothic - Farmer and Wife - Diamond Ranch Academy

    2nd - The Foxes - by Hurricane Middle School

    3rd - The Blue Horse- Dixie High School

    Best Use of Color - Ray Charles - by Diamond Ranch Academy

    Best Master Copy American Gothic - by Diamond Ranch Academy
