(St. George, UT) - The final four teams remaining in the championship round of the 3A basketball title games are all Region 9 teams.

The girls' title game comes down to Desert Hills and Snow Canyon while the boys' title matchup will be between Desert Hills and Hurricane. The argument has been made by several prep observers that Region 9 athletics is top level in the state, in the 3A classification of course. The 3A state basketball tournament being played out at Dixie State College supports the case made by those Region 9 defenders.

Dixie and Cedar's boys teams played in the semis Friday night in greatly contested games against eventual winners Desert Hills and Hurricane, and now will play for the third place spot at Pine View High school at 11:30 AM. Desert Hills and Hurricane square off at 1:30 PM at the Burns Arena for championship glory in the boys' half of the action.

The Lady Thunder and Lady Warriors play for the state trophy at Burns Arena at 11:30 AM.
