(Henderson, NV) - The car of a missing Las Vegas man was discovered near the Galleria Mall on Saturday. 27-year-old David Miller went missing over a week ago, and there is still no trace of him. Police found his car miles from his northwest Las Vegas home.

Miller's family calls his disappearance unusual and says they are surprised he would leave without telling someone. They say he was going through some emotional struggles at the time he disappeared.

"He may well want to be on his own and that's great, but we want to know. We just want to make sure he's not in trouble. He never had trouble with drugs or alcohol or anything like that," said David's father Kevin Miller.

Miller just completed an associated degree in criminal justice in Southern Utah. The Miller family spent the weekend searching the area around St. George and Cedar City, Utah. The Civil Air Patrol and friends and family helped in the search. The Millers also organized several LDS wards around the Las Vegas valley to be on the lookout for their son.

"He's quiet but very thoughtful of other people and helps people when he can. He's just kind and thoughtful toward people," said Kevin Miller.

Las Vegas police are now investigating the case. If you have any information, contact the Missing Persons Detail at (702) 828-2907. Friends and family of Miller have also set up a Facebook page looking for any tips.
