(Washington County, UT) - Located north of St. George, near the Mesa Rim Trail in Washington County the Reserve Fire has burned over 3,000 acres. Firefighters have stopped the forward progression of the fire, containing 50 percent of the perimeter. The incident commander is optimistic that firefighters will make good progress today and continue to meet containment objectives. Public citizens are still encouraged to stay out of the fire area until the fire is contained due to heavy fire traffic. 9 Fire Engines, 6 Hand Crews, 2 Squads, 1Type II Helicopter, 1 Type III Helicopter, 1 Air Attack Platform, and Various Overhead. Approximately 125 personnel are enroute or currently assigned to the fire.
