(St. George, UT) - The community love affair with Sunset on the Square was embraced Friday, June 8th by hundreds who brought their own blankets and lawn chairs to enjoy the evening movie which began at dusk. The partnership with the City of St. George is successful because of community support, according to Ed Merrifield, KCSG Television General Manager, who said families gather together to relax, play games and watch a family friendly movie.

Sunset on the Square is a bi-weekly Open Air Movie theater event held on the 2nd and 4th Friday of each month throughout the summer where families enjoy a Free movie and lots of fun and treats.

Friday, June 22nd is Charity Night when KCSG and the City of St. George encourage local charities to participate with booths sharing their story with the community.

The Sunset on the Square Friday night movie, June 22nd is Sandlot 2. A film about a group of young baseball-enthusiasts who test the terrifying myth of Mr. Mertle owning a freakishly large and dangerous dog in his backyard.

The 97-minute PG movie stars Max Lloyd-Jones, James Wilson and Samantha Burton .
