(St. George, UT) - More than 32 million Americans, including one in three older women, live with incontinence. Dr. David Adams, a urologist at Intermountain Southwest Urology, will present on the topic of bladder health at the LiVe Well Center’s Active Aging Lecture series on Oct. 26 at 10 a.m. in the Foremaster Auditorium located at 1424 E. Foremaster Drive. The public is invited to this free event.

Most men and women are reluctant to talk about, even with their doctors, the subject of incontinence or other bladder health issues. As a result, they suffer physically, emotionally and needlessly. There are new treatments, therapies, medications and outpatient procedures that can significantly improve continence and confidence. Simple lifestyle changes can make a gratifying difference for overactive bladders as well as other bladder conditions.

Dr. Adams attended Southern Utah University for his undergraduate degree and attended medical school at Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans. He completed his general surgery internship and urologic surgery residency at Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center in Hershey, Pennsylvania. He returned to make his home in southern Utah about a year ago.
