  • Late Season Slide Continues for Women’s Soccer

    (Riverside, Ca) – California Baptist maintained its slim lead atop the Pacific West Conference standings on Thursday with a 4-1 win over Dixie State College.

    The loss was the fifth straight for the Red Storm (6-8-2, 6-6 PWC)

    Megan Marchbanks netted her fourth goal of the year in the 72nd minute off a pass from Jennifer Mason, but the Lancers (11-2-1, 10-1 PWC) held off any comeback with an insurance goal in the 87th minute.

    Kelly Jenks began the CBU scoring with her 10th goal of the year and Natosha Yanes added two scores off the bench.

    Marchabanks and Mason combined for seven of the Dixie State 11 shots on the night.

    Abby Johnson made seven saves in facing 11 shots on goal.

    Dixie State finishes a three-match road swing on Saturday at 4:30 p.m. Mountain against Azusa Pacific.
