(St. George, UT) - According to the US Census Bureau, 46.3 million people in the US were uninsured in 2008. Health care expenditures totaled $2.2 trillion in 2007 which was 16.2% of the US economy. Health care is the largest industry in the US, employing more than 14 million people.

Proponents of the right to health care argue that it would stop medical bankruptcies, improve public health and reduce overall health care spending. They claim that no one in the richest nation on earth should go without health care.

Opponents argue that using tax revenue to provide health care to all Americans amounts to socialism and would decrease the quality and availability of health care for those who work hard to get medical coverage. They claim it's not the government's responsibility to guarantee health coverage

In a KCSG.com poll conducted from June 28 - July 2, 2012 visitors were asked whether the government should provide Free universal health care for all of its citizens?"

In the non-scientific poll of 330,613 respondents, 64-percent said "No" - 36-percent said "Yes".

I can not believe in a state that claims to be Christians that they would deny any one of God's children the basic need of health care. If you look at the way our nation has been, people who do not work are getting health care paid for through medicaid. This new health care reform is helping the citizens who are working but are unable to pay for health care and pay their bills. Plus it helps citizens who have preexisting conditions get the help that they need and deserve. I am glad our country is stepping up and actually trying to help their fellow man!
