  • FLASH FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT UNTIL 10:00PM FOR SOUTHERN AND SOUTHWEST UTAH

    (Salt Lake City, UT) - The National Weather Service has issued a Flash Flood Watch for southern Utah and Southwest Utah including Utah's Dixie and Zion National Park. The watch is in effect until 10:00PM

    * An extremely moist air mass will remain across Southwest Utah with scattered thunderstorms to continue to develop across the area into this evening. These storms are capable of producing Very Heavy Rain resulting in an elevated Flash Flood threats this evening.

    * Anyone planning outdoor activities in the Flood Watch area should be aware of the Flash Flood Risk and avoid locations such as slot canyons that are particularly prone to flooding. Be prepared to move quickly to higher ground if Flash Flooding is observed or Warnings are issued.
