(AZUSA, CA) – Two streaks heading in opposite directions.

Call it a bad derivation of the classic Frost poem, but it accurately portrays the picture of a rising Azusa Pacific women’s soccer program and the continuing struggles, of late, experienced by Dixie State.

A 3-0 shutout in Pacific West Conference action earned APU its ninth consecutive victory and straddled DSC with its seventh straight loss.

The Cougars (12-5, 11-2 PWC) outshot Dixie State (6-9-2, 6-7 PWC) 27-7. Emily Wood and Natalie Sun notched goals in the first half while Heidi Witschi added a score in the 75th minute.

Jennifer Mason led Dixie State with four shots. Abby Johnson made eight saves in goal.

Senior Day awaits the Red Storm as they return home next Saturday at 7:30 p.m. against Azusa Pacific.
