  • St. George residents invited to inspiration Chamber of Commerce luncheon

    (ST. GEORGE, Utah) — In a continuing effort to connect their members to the community, the St. George Chamber of Commerce will be hosting a luncheon on Wednesday, September 3 at noon at the Courtyard by Marriott. This ‘Inspiration’ luncheon will feature City of St. George Mayor Jon Pike.

    Guests will hear from City of St. George Mayor Jon Pike who will share his vision for the future and give a state of the city report including: updates on the city’s information services; roads and projects; the parks; the Electric Theater; SwitchPoint; and information on the proposed county Recreation, Arts and Parks Tax.

    Jon Pike was raised in Salt Lake City and received a bachelor's degree in finance from the University of Utah and an MBA from Westminster College. Jon has worked in several positions with Intermountain Healthcare since 1990 – and since 1995 in St. George.

    One of the highlights of Jon's career has been working as project manager for the planning and construction of Dixie Regional Medical Center at River Road, which opened in 2003. He currently works as the regional operations director for SelectHealth – the health insurance division of Intermountain Healthcare.

    In 2007, Jon was elected to the St. George City Council and in 2013, he was elected as Mayor of St. George. He serves on the boards of Dixie State University, the Children's Justice Center, Dixie Applied Technology College, and as chair of the Fifth District Judicial Nominating Commission.
