(ST. GEORGE, Utah) - The Southern Utah Heritage Choir has prepared for their magnificent Fall Concert, which is scheduled on September 19, 2014 in the Cox Performing Arts Center. The concert entitled, “Our Legacy of Faith,” will be a celebration of the spectacular 20-year history of the Heritage Choir, which began in 1994.

This celebration concert, under the direction of Dr. Nancy Allred, with Brandon Lee, pianist, and Karen Cantera, organist, will highlight some of the Choir’s best selections from throughout its 20-year history. For the past six months, Dr. Allred has been searching through scrapbooks, newspaper articles, concert programs, photos, and recordings to help paint a picture of the choir’s illustrious history.

Dr. Allred is excited to begin this final preparation phase with the choir, and looks forward to offering a marvelous gift to the community, a musical walk through twenty years of history, here at home and abroad. Each audience member is sure to enjoy the music, narration, and visual media that will enhance this wonderful concert.

Through collaboration with Dixie State University, the Choir is excited to perform once again in the Cox Performing Arts Center. The Choir has invited Floyd Rigby, founding director, to share his expertise once again in directing some of his favorite selections. Other guest artists will include Dr. Keith Bradshaw, former director, Mary Stewart, former assistant director, and Terry Lamoreaux, former assistant director. Other instrumentalists and soloists will be announced closer to the performance date.

Tickets are $10 and are available at the Cox Performing Arts Center ticket office (phone: 435-652-7800) or from any choir member. Tickets can also be ordered online at:
