    St. George Bank Robbery
    (ST. GEORGE, Utah) - On Thursday, July 31st at approximately 4:59 p.m. St. George Dispatch was advised of a bank robbery at the US Bank located at 791 S Bluff, St. George UT. An individual dressed in dark pants, blue hoodie, wearing sunglasses and a surgical type mask handed a teller a note demanding money. A weapon was never banished during the incident however the note did threaten bodily harm if demands were not met. The suspect left the bank with an undisclosed amount of money and drove away in a vehicle. A detailed description of the suspect and vehicle was given, a newer model silver Nissan Maxima with a dealer plate. A St. George Police Officer was able to locate a vehicle matching the description on I-15 southbound near mile marker 4. When Officers attempted to stop the vehicle it fled at a high rate of speed. St. George officers continued to pursue the vehicle into Arizona unit Arizona Highway Patrol took over the pursuit. St. George Dispatch was advised that the suspected vehicle was later stopped by Arizona and Nevada officers near mile marker 92 in Nevada. At this time the suspect has not been taken into custody, the suspect is refusing to exit the vehicle. St. George Detectives are working closely with all law enforcement agencies involved including the FBI in regards to this bank robbery.
