    August 8 – 10 Rockport State Park - Peoa

    21st Annual Rockport Dam Jam: Join us each day for music, impromptu jam sessions and talents from local musicians. Bring something to share for the potluck dinners Friday and Saturday nights. Camping is available for $5- 10 per site; day-use fee is $5 per car. 435-336-2241

    August 8 Snow Canyon State Park - Ivins

    Here Comes the Sun! Discover what solar spots are and get the chance to view the sun safely with a sun spotter beginning at 9 a.m. Learn more about UV protection and why it's important when having outdoor fun. This activity is designed for children age’s five to 12, but everyone is welcome. Registration is required. 435-628-2255

    August 9 Antelope Island State Park - Syracuse

    Spider Festival: Join us from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., to learn about the spiders from spider experts, go on guided spider walks, and enjoy spider talks and fun activities for kids. All activities begin at the visitor center. Park entrance fees apply. 801-230-6155

    August 9 Snow Canyon State Park - Ivins

    Rock Art: Join us at 9 a.m., to explore a small rock art site and learn who created it, discuss its meaning and create your own rock art to take home. This activity is designed for children age’s five to 12, but everyone is welcome. Registration is required. 435-628-2255

    August 9 Utah Lake State Park - Provo

    National S’Mores Day Celebration: Join park staff and Macey's Grocery Store for an evening of fun and s'mores. Chocolate, marshmallows and graham crackers provided by Macey's. Bring your favorite s'more recipe to share. Other activities include a paddle board competition, Utah Lake Commission-sponsored photo scavenger hunt and fire trucks provided by Provo City EMS.
