    (SALT LAKE CITY, Utah) - Utah State Parks News for July 22nd:

    July 29 East Canyon State Park - Morgan

    Kids Fishing Club: Kids age’s six to 14 are invited to join us from 9 a.m. to noon to learn how to fish. This is day one of a two day program. There is no cost to participate, however a suggested donation of $10 per child is appreciated. Children 12 years and older will need to purchase a fishing license. Online registration available at eastcanyonstatepark.utah.gov. 801-829-6866

    August 1 Snow Canyon State Park - Ivins

    Junior Ranger Program: Rock Art- Join us at 9 a.m., to explore a small rock art site and learn who created it, discuss its meaning and create your own rock art to take home. This activity is designed for children age’s five to 12, but everyone is welcome. Registration is required. 435-628-2255

    August 2 Antelope Island State Park - Syracuse

    Star Party: Join members of the Ogden Astronomical Society in White Rock Bay for deep space viewing. Learn about globular clusters, nebulae, galaxies and more. Beginning at 6:30 p.m., solar scopes will be set up for viewing the sun- all other viewing begins at dark. Entrance fees apply. If you bring a flashlight, please have a red filter. 801-721-9569

    August 2 Yuba State Park - Levan

    Carp Bow Fishing Tournament: Join us for the second annual carp bow fishing tournament with a chance to win money and prizes. Registration is from 7 to 9 a.m., and tournament is 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Cost is $7 per car. 435-758-2611
