(ST. GEORGE, Utah) - Sunset on the Square (SOTS) featured the movie Frozen on Friday at Town Square Park in Historic Downtown St. George. As part of the July 11, 2014 event, event coordinator, Dawn McLain, Write It Up! orchestrated the filming of a community sing along to create a one of a kind video featuring the SOTS singing to Let It Go, which can be found at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NbwQtQyX0qI.

“It was a great success!! We can’t be any more pleased with the turn out and support we had, not just for Frozen, but really all season long.” explained McLain. “By the time the movie starts we had 2,000+ people enjoying Town Square Park, the games, activities and prizes, all while they spend quality time with their families. This is exactly the reason the City of St. George provides that beautiful park, for all of us to enjoy it. The success of this event is a reflection of the community spirit of Southern Utah. And, it is such a privilege and pleasure to be part of it. Sunset on the Square created a little piece of history for our city, and we’re very proud of that.”

Over the past 7 years Sunset on the Square (SOTS) has become a staple for locals during the summer months. The Friday night FREE family movie series is hosted by Write It Up! in partnership with the City of St. George. Led by Dawn McLain, the series has become known for its family friendly fun, prizes, movies and so much more. Town Square hosts the events on the second and fourth Friday of each month May 23rd through August 22nd in the City of St. George.

The next special event will be the Herbalife Independent Distributor’s night featuring the movie Fly Boys. SOTS can confirm that the film’s director, Rocco DeVilliers will be in attendance to introduce the film. In addition, Dallen Gettling (Uncle Eddie) and J Todd Adams (who plays villain Lenny) will also be attending. Throughout the event attendees will be able to purchase one of a kind movie memorabilia, get photos autographs from the stars, and have the opportunity to purchase signed props from the movie which was filmed locally. The proceeds of the auction will go to a local charity. Fly Boys is a SOTS favorite and always draws the largest crowds, so guests will want to arrive early to get the best seats.
