David attended Colorado State University where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education and worked many years as a school teacher. He also served as a signalman in the United States Navy from 1954-1962.
David had many passions in his life, the first of which was his late wife, Linda Diana Deming, to whom he was married from April 16th, 1977 until her passing in February of 2009. He enjoyed singing & playing his 12 string guitar, target practice with his sons, camping with family, and visiting Maui, HI.
He was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and worked as a temple worker in the Denver Temple. He married Carol Scott in November, 2009 and together they moved to St. George, Utah to escape the harsh Colorado winters. He adored his 7 children and 14 grandchildren, cars, trains, guns and nearly everything associated with them.
