    July 19 Bear Lake State Park – Garden City

    Swim across Bear Lake: Join members from Great Salt Lake Open Water at 8 a.m., for the third annual seven-mile swim from Bear Lake State Park Marina to Rainbow Cove. 435-946-3343

    July 19 Dead Horse Point State Park - Moab

    Life of Extremes: Join us at 9 a.m., for a one- mile moderately easy guided hike to examine the intricacies of life on the plateau. Participants should bring plenty of water, hiking boots, cameras and meet at the visitor center front patio. 435-259-2614

    July 19 Antelope Island State Park - Syracuse

    Morning Hike: Join us at 10 a.m., for a moderate two- mile hike to the remnants of the sodium sulphate plant and discussion on the non-ranching history of the island.     July 19 Jordanelle State Park – Heber

    Fire on the Water: Join us from 4 to 10 p.m., for live music, kids’ zone, food, parade of lights and fireworks. Cost is $17 per car up to eight people, $5 for registered campers and free for annual pass holders. Shuttle service is available for the campground and event center parking lots at 6 p.m. 435-649-9540
