2014 World Speed Shooting Championships in St. George
(ST.GEORGE, Utah) - The 2014 World Speed Shooting Championships will be held now through Saturday, June 28, that will challenge the top speed shooters for Steel Challenge World Champion. The match started in 1981 and competitors can win cash and prizes in excess of $50,000. The event will be held in St. George at the Southern Utah Shooting Sports Park. The competition is comprised of 8 stages that are created to test the shooters accuracy at speed. The stages are clearly laid out allowing for good viewing angles from the gallery and the shots on steel allow observers to hear the hits and misses in real time. This is essentially drag racing with pistols. Competitors of all ages will be in attendance including two sisters aged 9 and 11.

The United States Practical Shooting Association is a non-profit membership association and the national governing body for the sport of Practical Shooting in America.
