(DUCHESNE, Utah) - Join us Saturday, June 28 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Starvation State Park for the ribbon cutting and grand opening of the 3D archery range. Ribbon cutting ceremony begins at 11 a.m., free hot dogs and soda from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., and hands-on instruction, demo equipment and outfitter booths available until 4 p.m. The event is free and open to the public; however the $7 day-use fee applies to those not attending the event.

The archery range consists of 10 stations. Shots range from 15 to 60 yards with varying angles and difficulty. All ages can participate, however anyone under 18 years needs parental approval and signature on waiver form.

“Utah State Parks, in partnership with the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources, planned and constructed the 3D archery range to provide visitors’ a unique park experience,” commented Starvation State Park Ranger Chase Pili. “Starvation is the first in the state parks system to provide an opportunity like this and we are hoping it will draw both returning and new visitors.”

Starvation State Park is located four miles northwest of Duchesne off Highway 40. For more information visit starvation.utah.gov or call 435-738-2326.
