  • Juvenile Runaway From Minnesota Located Passing Through Utah

    (CEDAR CITY, Utah) - While working traffic on I15 Deputy Wade Lee checked a license plate from Minnesota on a white Buick Skylark. Dispatch informed Deputy Lee that, according to a NCIC hit, the license plate was attached to a runaway juvenile also out of Minnesota. Deputy Lee conducted a traffic stop on the Buick. The juvenile, a 17 year old female, was in the Buick. She was taken to the Iron County Juvenile Detention Center.

    The driver of the vehicle, Michael Fredrick Luer, a 21 year old also from Minnesota, was arrested. He was taken to the Iron County Jail for booking. He is being charged with kidnapping, a second degree felony. A dog that was in the car was taken to the Iron County Animal Shelter.
