(HURRICANE, Utah) - (+VIDEO) Hundreds of children, ages zero to eight, descended on Three Falls Park in Hurricane, Saturday for the annual Hurricane City Easter Egg Hunt. In a matter of minutes, four soccer fields worth of candy and goodies disappeared into Easter baskets, bags, backpacks and tummies.

“It lasted nine whole minutes this year,” Hurricane City Mayor John Bramall said, “and that was great.”

“Wow! So much fun!” Emilee Stirling, Hurricane Royalty first attendant said.

Michelle Holmstead, head organizer for the event, said volunteers and city employees donated hours of their time stuffing eggs and getting the fields ready for the kids.

City treasurer Kathy Excell said that they started ordering supplies for the event months in advance to ensure they got what they needed.

Sponsors like Lin’s Market place, Chuck-A-Rama and the Hurricane Rotary Easter Car Show made the event possible, Holmstead said.

“A lot of work,” Bramall said. “They do a great job."
