(HURRICANE, Utah) - (+VIDEO) The Hurricane Valley Rotary Club hosted the 29th annual Hurricane Easter Car Show last Saturday at the Hurricane Community Center. The show ran from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and boasted upward of 250 cars, trucks, vans and even a restored tractor.

Every year the Hurricane Valley Rotary Club hosts the show as a fund raiser to support the Rotary Club's many projects and causes Sariah Mortensen, Hurricane Valley Rotary Club president said.

Mortensen said the car show each year raises between $15,000 - $30,000. That money goes to fund local programs like the dictionaries each 3rd grader in the WCSD receives from the club. It also goes to support Rotary Club National and international programs, she said. These goals include: eradicating polio; helping to build schools; and get clean drinking water to underdeveloped countries.

Last year the car show attracted around 8,000 visitors, Mortensen said. The club expected similar numbers this year as well.
