(MESQUITE, Nev.) - The Virgin Valley Heritage Museum is excited to announce two new features available through the museum. The first is the new website MesquiteNVMuseum.org. No matter where you are in the world, you can now look at the museum’s entire collection online. Erika Marler, Museum Coordinator, said, “By having the entire catalog searchable online, anyone interested in the Virgin Valley and its history can research and view all of the Museum’s artifacts online. We are excited to be able to offer the world access to our collection.”
The second new feature is the Verde Hughes Memorial Library. Verde Hughes was the first museum coordinator in 1985. The Museum is proud to honor her memory and legacy by giving her a permanent spot in the museum she helped establish. The reference library contains books about the history of Mesquite, as well as personal histories, journals, newspapers, and many other records available for viewing. We invite all to come and learn about the history of Mesquite.
For more information about this event and the Museum, find us on Facebook at MesquiteNVMuseum or stop by the Museum at 35 W. Mesquite Blvd. The Museum is open Tu-Sa 10 am to 4 pm.
