    (FREDONIA, Ariz.) – The National Park Service is proud to announce the annual celebration of National Park Week, April 19-27, 2014. This year you are invited to celebrate all that America’s more than 400 national parks have to offer with the theme “National Park Week: Go Wild!” From diverse wildlife and iconic landscapes to vibrant culture and rich history, our National Park System has something for everyone.

    Whether you’re a hiker, historian, romantic, family with kids, or someone simply seeking solitude,

    Pipe Spring National Monument has something for everyone. During this special week park rangers will be offering a variety of talks and hands-on demonstrations, such as blacksmithing, lizard identification, the lives of ravens and crows, crafts of the Ka va’ veet, and other talks about Kaibab Paiute and pioneer culture.     Hey kids – Saturday, April 26 is National Junior Ranger Day! Come and explore Pipe Spring, learn some cool stuff about old stuff and get sworn in as a Junior Ranger for Pipe Spring National Monument.
