    (MESQUITE, Nev.) - At the Tuesday March 25 City Council meeting, the Mesquite City Council will consider hiring of Kash Christopher as the new Mesquite Fire and Rescue Chief. Mr. Christopher has more than 27 years of firefighting experience, the last twelve of which have been in senior management positions. Most recently, he served as the Fire Chief of Bagram Airfield in Afghanistan where he supervised 94 firefighters under the most extreme conditions imaginable.

    He possesses a bachelor’s degree in Fire Science from Columbia Southern University and holds thirteen career-related certifications.

    If approved, Mr. Christopher will commence work with the City on May 27.
