    (LAS VEGAS) - Mario Medina Borboa, 75, passed away Thursday, March 6, 2014 in North Las Vegas, Nevada. He was born August 12, 1938 in Mexicali, Baja California, Mexico to Raymundo and Delfina Borboa Medina.

    Mario grew up in Mexicali, Baja California. He married Manuela Gallegos on June 10, 1962 in Mexicali, Baja California, Mexico. He worked as a truck driver in Mexicali then moved to Hidden Valley Ranch in 1974 where he was in charge of the dairy. He raised his family there and in 1998 he relocated to Mesquite, NV; where he worked as a casino porter for over 25 years.

    Mario enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, exploring, traveling, and working on cars. His greatest joy came from time with his family.

    Survivors include: his wife, Manuela of Mesquite, NV; two sons and four daughters: Leticia of Mesquite, NV; Olga (Francisco) Rosales of Mesquite, NV; Mario (Maria) of Overton, NV; Jose (Raquel) of Beaver Dam, AZ; Veronica (Octavio Melchor) of Mesquite, NV; Belen of Las Vegas, NV; 17 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren and six brothers and sisters. He was preceded in death by his parents, three siblings and one grandson.

    Visitation will be held in his honor at the Virgin Valley Mortuary from 4 - 6 p.m. on Sunday, March 9, 2014.
