(ST. GEORGE, Utah) - The Southern Utah Heritage Choir proudly presents “Songs of Faith: A Celebration of Hymns”. The performance will be held in the St George Tabernacle on Sunday March 9, 2014 – 7:00 PM, with special guest Narrator Rev. Amy Seifert, Associate Pastor, of Shepherd of the Hills United Methodist Church.

The program will feature well known Hymns from many different faiths. Those who attend will enjoy favorites like “A Mighty Fortress is Our God”, “Nearer My God to Thee”, “For the Beauty of the Earth, and many more. The Choir will also present some of the music that it performed on it’s International Tour to Ireland last Fall like “Be Thou My Vision”, “God of Our Fathers”, and “Redeemer of Israel” arranged by Mack Wilberg.

Dr. Nancy Allred will direct the 180 member choir with Karen Cantera, Organ and Brandon Lee, Piano.

Our Narrator, the Rev. Amy Seifert was appointed Associate Pastor in 2011 where one of her many responsibilities is the Music Director. Amy has enjoyed over 20 years of ministry experience and has served churches in Kansas, Minnesota, and Missouri. She earned her undergraduate degree from Baker University, Baldwin City, Kansas and majored in Music Education. Her Master’s degree is in Christian Leadership. Amy and her husband Todd have two children.

Everyone is invited to join the Choir and Reverend Seifert in a glorious celebration of hymns in the St George Tabernacle Sunday March 9, 2014 at 7:00PM.
