ST. GEORGE, Utah) - (+VIDEO) US Navy Blue Angel No. 7 Lt. Ryan Chamberlain and No. 8 LCDR Michael Cheng flew to St. George Friday, Feb. 28 in a team Boeing F/A-18 Hornet to meet with show officials on the 2014 Thunder Over Utah air show. The show, to be held July 25-27 at the St. George, Utah Municipal Airport, is one of only 34 show sites selected by the famed Blue Angels Flight Demonstration Squadron for a 2014 performance.

Last appearing in St. George in 2012, the Blues have been thrilling audiences for more than 60 years. The team flies six powerful Boeing F/A-18 Hornets during its tightly choreographed, high-energy demonstration—sometimes flying as little as 18 inches apart. Leading the 110-member Squadron is Blue Angel No. 1 Cdr.

“It's very exciting welcoming the Blue Angels back to St. George for the 2014 show,” Kevin Walsh, Event Director for the Thunder Over Utah air show, stated. “We are ecstatic to host another Blue Angel performance and we have been successful in securing other top attractions for the event as well. Our audience will be astounded." Walsh added.

Show officials previously announced the U.S. Army Golden Knights will be joining the Blues.

Thunder Over Utah air show tickets can conveniently be purchased at discounted rates leading up to the show through our show website at www.thunderoverutah.com. Sunday is family discount day and all tickets will be sold at an even better rate for that day. All advanced sales tickets for the 2014 show go off sale at 12:00 noon Sunday, July 27th, 2014.
