(SPRINGDALE, Utah) - The town of Springdale in cooperation with Zion National Park will celebrate the 10th Annual Zion Canyon Earth Day in Springdale on Saturday April 19th. This annual event draws 1000 or more visitors to help celebrate our beautiful home.

Live solar powered music will be accompanied by art and food vendors as well as activities and demonstrations about alternative energy, native plants, solar ovens, environmental art, and sustainable products. The Technology Trailer from Southern Utah University will be demonstrating a variety of hands-on clean energy alternatives. Kids can participate in the Leave No Trace (LNT) ethics taught by the LNT Traveling Trainers and a reading of Dr. Seuss’ “The Lorax.”

The event, including a silent auction and beer & wine garden, takes place on the lawn of the Bit & Spur Restaurant at 1212 Zion Park Boulevard from 11:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M.
