Parkinson scored a career-high 22 points as Southern Utah knocked off the Hornets by a final score of 93-74 last week. She shot 10-14 from the field and 2-2 at the foul line as the T-Birds recorded their highest shooting mark of the season at 66.7 percent to defeat the Hornets for the second time this year. The SUU sophomore pulled down 11 rebounds in the contest for her fifth double-double of the season and came up with four momentum-changing blocks. She also grabbed three steals and handed out a pair of assists in the win.
Parkinson is averaging 13.8 ppg to go along with 8.1 rpg in Big Sky play while shooting over 56 percent from the floor. She has also totaled 15 blocks, 17 assists and 20 steals in Southern Utah's 11 conference games.
Eastern Washington junior forward Melissa Williams was also selected by the conference as the co-Player of the Week after recording back-to-back double-doubles to help the Eagles to wins over Montana and Montana State.
