As filmmaker, Matt Duhamel ventures out to find forgiveness by courageously discussing his past failures including his former legal troubles, he speaks with spiritual leaders, professionals, researchers and everyday people highlighting their stories in hopes to better understand how the forgiveness process affects our everyday lives.
Duhamel states, “…though the film includes my own personal story, it’s not a self-serving film. Professionals, researchers, everyday people, spiritual leaders and more are interviewed so we can better understand the forgiveness process. I also highlight personal and powerful stories from everyday people. The stories cover attempted suicide, abuse and other personal struggles.”
Duhamel has already interviewed local professionals, doctors and authors including, Dr. Wendy Ulrich, PhD., author “Forgiving Ourselves”, Dr. David Derezotes, Professor at the University of Utah School of Social Work, The Very Rev. Joe Waldon from The Cathedral Church of St. Mark, and many others including renowned forgiveness researcher, Dr. Robert Enright, Ph.D., Co-founder of the International Forgiveness Institute.
As film director of Metamora Films, Duhamel is asking $3,500 for a HP Workstation editing system in order to complete the film post-production phase.
