(ST. GEORGE, Utah) - (+VIDEO) KCSG Community Window features the public transportation system called SunTran. Fred Davies, SunTran Transit Manager, explains how funding for a small metro transit system works, as well as the challenges.

SunTran buses run Monday through Saturday, 6 a.m. to 8:40 p.m for a $1 a ride or $2.50 for a day pass. Other rates are available for weekly, monthly or semester passes. The Paratransit system is there for those disabled who qualify for this service.

Davies said that an individual can save $500 a month by riding the SunTran and not paying for gas, car insurance, maintenance etc. It also eases the congestion of traffic in our busy St. George City.

Visit www.sgcity.org/suntran for more information, or call 435.673.8726.
