(Mesquite, Nev.) - Freestyle MotoCross Legend “Cowboy” Kenny Bartram survived the inaugural Mesquite Off-Road Weekend Beyond Pro event in 2013, and won the title. He was the fastest rider during a race that, for the first time in the history of racing, had UTV, ATV and side-by-side vehicles, and motorcycles, racing against each other on an Enduro Cross Course that had Freestyle Motocross Ramps as “cheater lanes”. Bartram is scheduled to defend his championship, but the intense Beyond Pro race is just one of several formats and levels of racing available to all skill levels of racers during the festival in Mesquite.

Registration is still open for the following divisions: Sportsman, Youth (12 – 15 years old), Novice: Open Class, Amateur: Open Class, Vet (over 30), ATV, SxS, Trail Bikes, and the Pro/Expert: Open Class. Registration and spectator ticket information is available at www.MesquiteOffRoad.com.

The Beyond Pro format, which quickly became a fan favorite in 2013, was created by Nitro Circus Founder Gregg Godfrey and Edge PowerSports Founder Bryan Green. Their goal was to create a format that would to cause chaos and mayhem on the track. It was FMX vs. EndoroCross at the most extreme level.

“The Beyond Pro Race was absolute insanity,” says Bartram, who will also be performing with his Steel Rodeo during Mesquite Off-Road Weekend 2014. “Having an FMX ramp on an EnduroCross course is pretty crazy because as you get tired, it's hard to hang on to the handlebars, so hitting a jump that big during an actual race and trying to do tricks is tough. Then you throw in the quads and UTV's and it was insanity. You really had to watch your line selection and keep an eye on traffic ahead of you, but it was a great time as well!”

The racing takes place on the 100-acre track that overlooks the Eureka Casino Resort. The pro and Beyond Pro divisions will feature some of the best EnduroX and FMX riders in the world with potential riders returning such as Cody Webb, Mike Brown, Bartram, Kyle Redmond and other racers from the X Games soon confirming on a daily basis. The purse is almost double last year to $20,000 for the Beyond Pro race. Click the following link for video from 2013: http://mesquiteoffroad.com/races.html

Spectator Information: General admission, VIP and Ultimate tickets are available starting at $30 (kids three and under are free while ages 4-12 are $20). Ultimate tickets include access to an exhibition show by the Steel Rodeo on Friday night as well as dinner and a meet and great with Bartram and other pro racers. Competitor’s registration is also now open. Ticket purchases and racer registration is available at www.MesquiteOffRoad.com.
