(CEDAR CITY, Utah) - All five teams from the Mountain Rim Gymnastics Championship went head-to-head with alliance members as Utah State picked up a win at Southern Utah and Boise State swept Denver and BYU at home on Friday night. Individually, Boise State's Kelsey Morris and Amanda Otuafi recorded the highest all-around and individual event scores, earning MRGC Gymnast and Specialist of the Week honors, respectively.

Morris tallied a 38.950 in the all-around, scoring a 9.750 on vault, 9.850 on bars, 9.650 on beam and a 9.700 on floor. Her score on bars also helped the Snohomish, Wash. native to tie for the individual title on that event as well.

Otuafi led the Broncos to their highest team score of the night, a 49.175 on vault, with a meet-best 9.900 on the event. She came back later in the competition to tally a 9.750 on the floor exercise, finishing fourth amongst Boise State competitors.

The Mountain Rim Gymnastics Championship is a gymnastics-specific alliance among five member schools: Brigham Young University, Boise State University, Denver University, Southern Utah University and Utah State University. The alliance is not a formally recognize conference by the NCAA, but is in the process of gaining said status for the 2014-15 season.
