(CEDAR CITY, Utah) - Tyree Mills will get one final game opportunity to impress NFL scouts Saturday afternoon when the former Southern Utah cornerback from Pasadena, Calif., will suit up for the defending champion National Team at the NFLPA Collegiate Bowl.

Mills gives SUU two representatives in the NFLPA Collegiate Bowl in as many years, as quarterback Brad Sorensen, who went on to be drafted by the San Diego Chargers, participated last year.

Mills, who led Southern Utah with four interceptions this season, will team with players from across the country under former Philadelphia Eagles, St. Louis Rams and Kansas City Chiefs Coach Dick Vermeil. Ray Crockett, a two-time Super Bowl champion while with the Denver Broncos, is Mills’ position coach.

The National defense has three total players from the Big Sky, as Eastern Washington cornerback T.J. Lee will team with Mills in the secondary while Montana State’s Brad Daly is in the National’s linebacker corps.

The other defensive backs on the National squad include SMU’s Kenneth Acker, Memphis’ Lonnie Ballentine, Miami’s AJ Highsmith, Maine’s Kendall James, Southern Florida’s Mark Joyce, South Carolina’s Jimmy Legree, Temple’s Abdul Smith and Towson’s Jordan Love.

The American squad, which will be coached by former Minnesota Vikings and Arizona Cardinals Coach Dennis Green, includes two players from the Big Sky, Montana linebacker Brock Coyle and North Dakota receiver Greg Hardin.

The game can be viewed live on ESPN. Kickoff is slated for 4:00 p.m. (Mountain) at The StubHub Center in Carson, Calif.
