    (WASHINGTON, Utah) - Debra Lee Jackson Hengst, 59, died on December 18, 2013 at her home in Washington, Utah. Born 14 July 1954 in Spanish Fork, Utah to Maurice W. & Leah G Grasham Jackson.

    Debra grew up in Thistle/Birdseye, Utah, where she enjoyed neighbors, friends and family gatherings. She was educated in Spanish Fork. Graduating 1972; Married Rick Hengst in 1971. She had one child, Russell. Divorced in 1974. Received her BS in Nursing at Weber State, and completed her Masters at the University of Phoenix. Worked 16 years at Payson Hospital, working with new Mothers in Labor and Delivery. Moved to Washington, Utah and worked for Washington County School District as a School Nurse.

    Received “The award “Utah School Nurse of the Year” for 2011-2012. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Enjoyed teaching Primary and many other callings.

    Survived by son and Mother, both of Washington, sister-Neita Sorensen, Mount Pleasant, Brothers Richard Jackson, and Lance Jackson, Utah. Preceded in Death by Father.

    Services will be held Monday, December 23, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at the Washington 11th Ward Chapel, 650 East Telegraph, Washington, Utah. Visitation will be held Monday December 23, 2013 from 12-12:45 prior to the services. Interment will be in the Washington City Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to the care of Pine View Mortuary 435-986-4222.
