(IRON COUNTY, Utah) - Deputies with the Iron County Sheriff’s Office are asking for the public’s help to locate an inmate who failed to return after being released on a medical furlough.

James Allen Logan, was released by 5th District Court Judge John Walton from the Iron County Correctional Facility on 12-20-13, for a doctor appointment on the condition he had to return by 1800 hours. When Logan failed to return, deputies began searching for him. The search for Logan has continued from 12-20-13 forward. We have information which leads us to believe Logan is currently in the Las Vegas, Nevada area.

Logan is not believed to be a threat to the community at this time. Logan’s current arrest is for drug possession.

Anyone with information on Logan’s whereabouts is encouraged to call the Iron County Sheriff’s Department at 435-867-7500 or 435-867-7550. Tips can be texted anonymously to 274-637. Start the text message with the keyword ICSOTIPS and
