    (ENOCH, Utah) - On Wednesday, December 18 at approximately 6:15 pm, Enoch Police Officers were notified of a driver who was possibly impaired, traveling on Midvalley Road. The information given was that someone driving a Ford Ranger was in the wrong lane without lights. Enoch Police Officers located the vehicle and attempted to stop it. The vehicle failed to stop and a short pursuit ensued. The vehicle crashed into a power pole at about 3550 W Midvalley Rd.

    Iron County Sheriff Deputies also responded and assisted in taking the driver into custody. After the arrest, Officers learned that the female driver had been listed as missing and suicidal out of California. Officers contacted California to notify them of the status of the driver.

    The driver was transported to Valley View Medical Center where she was treated for minor injuries sustained in the crash and then booked into the Iron County Correctional Facility on charges of: DUI, driving on revocation, failure to stop at stop sign, attempting to evade police and failure to drive on right side of the road.

    After contacting California officials, Enoch Officers learned that the female driver was wanted in California for theft. Over $60,000 dollars was located in the vehicle which is believed to be stolen money. A joint investigation with the Enoch Police Department and California officials is ongoing.
