(CEDAR CITY, Utah) - Convergys Corporation organized a “No-Shave November” contest to raise money for cancer prevention and awareness.

At the beginning of November, 41 employees took the pledge not to shave during the entire month. By month end, 26 employees were still going strong. Thanks to participation, fees, and sponsor donations, Cedar City Convergys was able to raise over $400! All proceeds were donated to the American Cancer Society.

“I am very grateful for our recruiting team for organizing the “No-Shave November” event,” says Cedar City Site Leader Shelly Porter. “Corporate Social Responsibility is one of the company’s core values, and we are proud of the many ways our employees give back to charitable organizations all throughout the year.”

Through the Convergys Community Action Network (CAN), the company supports philanthropic initiatives throughout all of the communities in which our employees live and work. As part of the Cedar City business community for the past 26 years, employees have participated in a number of community initiatives, including American Red Cross blood drives, Relay for Life, food drives for the Care and Share, hats, gloves, and scarves for local schools, animal shelter food drives, etc.
