(SALT LAKE CITY, Utah) – The School and Institutional Trust Lands Administration (SITLA) Board of Trustees’ meets at 1:30 p.m. Monday, December 16 in the SITLA boardroom at 675 East 500 South, Suite 500 in Salt Lake City. Trustees will conduct a swearing in for new trustee Scott O. Ruppe, review nominations for the Book Cliffs Wildlife Advisory Committee, and consider a negotiated sale to Uintah County.

At its meeting last month, the Board of Trustees adopted a charter creating a committee to advise the board on a portion of the Book Cliffs lease with Anadarko. At the request of the Board, staff solicited and received nominations from the Governor’s Office of Energy Development, Utah Division of Wildlife Resources, SITLA beneficiaries, and the sportsmen and hunting communities. Board members will review all nominations and select committee members.

Trustees will also consider the sale of a 640-acre parcel of school trust land to Uintah County. The property is located approximately three miles northeast of Vernal.
