    THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR THE WESTERN TWO THIRDS OF

    UTAH AND SOUTHWEST WYOMING.

    .DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT

    THE WINTER STORM THAT BROUGHT WIDESPREAD AND OFTEN HEAVY SNOW

    TO THE ENTIRE OUTLOOK AREA WILL EXIT THE REGION LATER THIS

    MORNING. LINGERING AREAS OF ACCUMULATING SNOW WILL EXIST ALONG THE

    INTERSTATE 15 CORRIDOR FROM DAVIS COUNTY SOUTH TO NEAR CEDAR CITY.

    WINTER STORM WARNING WILL REMAIN IN EFFECT FOR THOSE AREAS

    TODAY...AND FOR THE ADJACENT MOUNTAINS THIS MORNING.

    A SECOND WEAK WEATHER DISTURBANCE WILL MOVE SOUTH INTO UTAH BEHIND

    THE EXITING STORM TONIGHT. THIS SECOND SYSTEM COULD GENERATE SOME

    LIGHT ACCUMULATING SNOW ACROSS THE FAR NORTH OVERNIGHT.

    .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...MONDAY THROUGH SATURDAY

    NEW SNOW COVER AND SOME CLEAR LATE TONIGHT WILL ALLOW TEMPERATURES

    TO PLUNGE ACROSS THE OUTLOOK AREA FOR MONDAY MORNING. COLD

    TEMPERATURES WILL CONTINUE THROUGH AT LEAST THE MIDDLE OF THE

    WEEK...THEN SLOWLY MODIFY LATE IN THE OUTLOOK PERIOD.

    INVERSIONS WILL TIGHTEN AS THE WEEK PROGRESSES. STRONG VALLEY

    INVERSIONS WILL RESULT IN A RAPID BUILD UP OF URBAN HAZE ACROSS THE

    NORTH...WITH VALLEY FOG BECOMING MORE WIDESPREAD ACROSS THE

    REGION DURING THE MIDDLE THROUGH LATE WEEK PERIOD.

    WYOMING FROM TONIGHT THROUGH AT LEAST EARLY SUNDAY. GUSTY WINDS

    WILL ACCOMPANY THIS STORM OVER THE WESTERN VALLEYS AND CENTRAL AND

    MST SUNDAY...

    THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN SALT LAKE CITY HAS ISSUED A

    WINTER STORM WARNING FOR SNOW...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM MIDNIGHT

    TONIGHT TO 10 AM MST SUNDAY. THE WINTER STORM WATCH IS NO LONGER

    IN EFFECT.

    * AFFECTED AREA...THIS WARNING COVERS THE EASTERN AND SOUTHERN

    VALLEYS OF UTAH.

    * SNOW ACCUMULATIONS...GENERALLY 2 TO 5 INCHES WITH LOCALLY HIGHER

    AMOUNTS.

    * TIMING...LIGHT SNOW WILL CONTINUE LOCALLY IN CASTLE COUNTRY

    THROUGH THIS EVENING AND THEN BECOME HEAVIER AFTER MIDNIGHT.

    OTHERWISE...SNOW WILL DEVELOP AROUND MIDNIGHT OVER DIXIE AND

    SPREAD INTO EASTERN VALLEYS BY DAYBREAK SATURDAY. SNOW IS

    EXPECTED TO INCREASE IN COVERAGE AND INTENSITY SATURDAY MORNING

    AND CONTINUE...HEAVY AT TIMES...SATURDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH

    SATURDAY EVENING. THIS SNOW IS EXPECTED TO TURN SHOWERY AND

    TAPER OFF LATE SATURDAY NIGHT THROUGH SUNDAY MORNING.

    * WINDS...GUSTY WINDS ARE POSSIBLE SATURDAY CREATING AREAS OF

    BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW. AFTER THE SNOW ENDS...GUSTY NORTHWEST

    DOWNSLOPE WINDS ARE EXPECTED ACROSS THE WESTERN UINTA BASIN AND

    CASTLE COUNTRY CREATING AREAS OF BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW.

    OF SNOW TO ACCUMULATE ON ROAD SURFACES AND CREATE SIGNIFICANT

    LOCAL SNOW SHOWERS WILL INCREASE ACROSS PORTIONS OF THE OUTLOOK

    AREA AFTER MIDNIGHT TONIGHT. EVEN MINOR ACCUMULATIONS WILL QUICKLY

    STICK TO PAVEMENT GIVEN THE COLD TEMPERATURES...RESULTING IN SLICK

    DRIVING CONDITIONS.

    .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SATURDAY THROUGH THURSDAY

    A STORM SYSTEM WILL CROSS THE REGION SATURDAY THROUGH

    SUNDAY...BRINGING ACCUMULATING SNOWFALL TO MOST OF THE OUTLOOK

    AREA...INCLUDING UTAHS DIXIE. SNOW WILL BE HEAVY AT TIMES...AND

    GIVEN THE RECENT VERY COLD TEMPERATURES...ANY SNOW WHICH FALLS

    WILL QUICKLY ACCUMULATE ON ALL SURFACES INCLUDING

    ROADWAYS...CREATING HAZARDOUS WINTER DRIVING CONDITIONS.
