The goals of this TMP are to 1) provide sustainable access for public needs and experiences 2) protect natural and cultural resources and settings 3) promote the safety of public land users and 4) minimize conflicts among the various users.
Maps of the potential route designation for the Littlefield Travel Sub-region by alternative will be available for public review beginning December 2, 2013 by linking to the maps from the following web page: http://www.blm.gov/az/st/en/prog/travel_mgmt/strip_tmp.html Follow the link titled “Littlefield Subregion” at the bottom, center of the page.
Printed copies of these maps will also be available at the Interagency Information Center located at 345 E. Riverside Drive, St. George, UT and at the public meeting in Beaver Dam on December 5, 2013.
To ensure your comments are considered, interested parties are encouraged to provide comments during the 30-day public comment period which ends on January 2, 2014.
Public comments received will be used to inform and refine the proposed action in the EA, with eventual development of a travel management plan for these areas. Public comments have been accepted throughout the development of this TMP/EA since 2011 and would be most effective if received no later than January 2, 2014.
